    JBLM Newcomers' Bus Tour

    Human Services Provider Forum

    9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at American Lake Conference Center, JBLM - Lewis North

    Human services providers from south King, Pierce, and Thurston Counties are invited to come hear from program experts at Joint Base Lewis-McChord and Camp Murray on what human services are available to military-connected personnel (active duty, National Guard, and Reserve servicemembers, and family members) friom within the Department of Defense.  Program overviews will include topics such as:

    • Basic needs assistance (food, housing)
    • Employment assistance
    • Child care
    • Youth services
    • School-based services
    • Special needs family members
    • Financial counseling
    • Military family resiliency (preparing for and coping with deployments and similar challenges)

    An open discussion/question and answer session will follow the JBLM/Camp Murray presentations.

    Master Builders Association of Pierce County Annual Benefit Dinner & Auction

    7:00 PM at Marriott Courtyard Downtown Tacoma

    The Master Builders Association of Pierce County (MBA Pierce) is holding a dinner and auction to benefit veterans services provided by Rebuilding Together Sound Sound and MBA operations.

    Cost to attend is $75 per person or $600 for a table of 10.  Your ticket includes valet parking, drinks and appetizers, and a plated dinner.  Enjoy live music as well as both silent and live auctions, with items available for bid including autographed Seahawks items; Seahawks tickets; a bass fishing trip; private boat and wine tours; as well as trips to Cabo San Lucas; Lareto, Mexico; and Harrison Hot Springs!

    Doors open at 5:30pm; the formal event begins at 7:00pm.
